My Huetiful Steamer Broke!
Yes it's true! My steamer has not been working properly and I didn't realize it until after I posted my latest YouTube video "Huetiful Steamer 1 Year Later" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax4-3cRpDNk
I got ready to use my steamer that day and realized the fluorescent light (a.k.a the Ozone light) was not on. Before this, I have noticed for the past month that my steamer cup has been collecting build up but I honestly just thought after almost a year of use, that's just what it does so I ignored it and just put the cup in the dishwasher to clean properly.
The Ozone light is an important part of the steaming process. It helps with dandruff by neutralizing and killing bacteria on the scalp. I have always had dandruff problems so to me this is very important. I honestly believe it helped keep my steamer clean and free of build up as well because I didn't have that problem in the beginning.
I freaked out!!! I immediately called the Huetiful customer service line and explained what was going on with my steamer. The woman asked me if I had the receipt but that was almost 1 year ago and I had nothing. She was able to find my order in their system because I was still within their 1 year warranty coverage.....THANK GOD!
She told me she would have to speak with their repair dept. and call me back about what they were going to do about my steamer. Either they would send me a pre-paid shipping label to send it back for repair or send a brand new steamer. Later that day, she called me back and told me there was no way the light could be repaired and they were just going to send me out a brand new steamer at no cost to me at all!!!
I could not believe that! They could have just been like oh well.....
The representative told me without that Ozone function working, the steamer was not benefiting my hair at all. I was so disappointed because I have been using this thing for a long time and just now realizing it wasn't working right. It definitely did for the first 6 months, but after that, I have no idea....I just used it and went on with my hair process.
So a HUGE shout out to Behuetiful.com and their customer service team who was absolutely amazing and treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. I now have 1 broken steamer and 1 brand new steamer! I guess I will just use the broken one for parts if anything ever happens to my new one.

I'm going thru the same thing! Ive used mine for 4 months not realizing that a flourescent light should have been on, I received a replacement today and the light doesn't work on that one either which sucks because I've never experienced the benefits of the steamer. :(
